Overview
- The Sudanese Armed Forces announced they captured the town of Bara and several nearby villages after fierce fighting, a push the army says loosened RSF pressure on the city of El Obeid.
- The army released footage it says shows stretches of the Omdurman–El Obeid export highway secured and abandoned RSF vehicles, but local sources reported continued clashes that keep parts of the road unsafe.
- Hours after the army advance, local officials reported drone strikes on El Obeid that they attributed to the Rapid Support Forces, and RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan Daglo published a video telling fighters they are “unleashed.”
