Studies Find Mexico City Grand Prix 2025 Generated 19.84 Billion Pesos in Impact

Organizer-commissioned studies credit most of the value to global media exposure.

Overview

  • Analyses by AECOM and Formula Money, published Wednesday, estimate a 19,840 million peso impact split between 6,715 million in direct activity and 13,125 million in international media value.
  • The three-day event from October 24–26, 2025 drew 401,326 spectators, including 153,867 on race day at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.
  • Organizers say the race supported 10,649 jobs in the region and generated 1,130 million pesos in wages across tourism, logistics, commerce, and services.
  • Job creation came from 5,170 event roles the organizer filled and from 3,410 million pesos in off-track spending by teams and visitors that sustained about 5,600 more jobs.
  • Since returning in 2015, the Mexico City Grand Prix is credited with 157,594 million pesos in cumulative economic and media impact and more than 93,000 jobs, a record cited to bolster the 2026 edition.
