- Fremont Public Schools said administrators were supervising the rally to keep students safe and that at one point several students entered the street before one was struck by the car as it began moving.
- Nebraska officials including Gov. Jim Pillen, Sen. Deb Fischer, Sen. Pete Ricketts, Rep. Mike Flood and Rep. Don Bacon condemned the incident and called for a full law enforcement investigation and protection of peaceful protest.
- Fremont police say the case remains under investigation and have not announced arrests or identified the driver, while the driver's sister told KETV he turned himself in and did not intend harm.
