StubHub Reaches Enforceable Deal Over Vancouver Taylor Swift Tickets, With Refunds for Undisclosed Obstructed Views

The enforceable agreement follows a complaint-driven investigation into opaque resale listings for Swift’s 2024 Vancouver dates.

Overview

  • Consumer Protection BC said StubHub must make clearer up-front disclosures of ticket face value, fees, terms and conditions, and refund guarantees in line with B.C.’s Ticket Sales Act.
  • Buyers who sat in sections 219–236, 336, or 418–437 at the Dec. 6–8, 2024 shows may qualify for refunds if obstructed or limited views were not disclosed.
  • StubHub will contact potentially eligible purchasers by May 1, 2026 to outline refund options.
  • The regulator found StubHub violated provincial disclosure rules, while the company says it does not believe laws were broken but will cooperate and offer eligible buyers a refund or credit.
  • StubHub agreed to pay $2,500 to the Consumer Advancement Fund and more than $6,000 to cover inspection costs.
