Overview
- Merseyside Police said a man in his 30s was shot in the leg on Boode Croft around 7:20am Thursday, and he is in a stable condition in hospital.
- Neighbours reported hearing multiple shots, with one witness recalling four cracks and a large number of police vehicles rushing to the street.
- Officers set a cordon, reviewed CCTV, and went door to door, and forensic teams examined a silver Vauxhall Corsa that was recovered from within the cordon.
- Detectives believe the shooting was targeted and asked residents to share CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage via @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers.
- Police issued a Section 60 order across parts of Stockbridge Village until 3:59pm Friday, adding temporary powers to stop and search people and vehicles, and said this incident does not appear linked to an earlier Litherland case during a month that had otherwise seen low gun crime.
