Overview
- FCA US filed a recall covering about 65,348 Ram 1500–5500 trucks from the 2025 and 2026 model years after reports of the instrument display shutting off.
- The display can go dark at start-up or while driving, removing the gear indicator, brake and stability warnings, and tire-pressure information.
- Dealers will install a free software update, and owners can check recall 35D on NHTSA.gov or call FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
- The affected trucks were built between August 9, 2024 and July 4, 2025, and the company says no crashes or injuries have been reported.
- Quartz reports the cluster is supplied by Marelli, and this action follows a separate earlier recall for a different bug in a larger 12-inch display on similar Ram models.
