- Ambassador Steven Fagin, the U.S. envoy to Yemen and a veteran diplomat, was appointed civilian lead of the Civil-Military Coordination Center supporting President Donald Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan for Gaza.
- The center is tasked with coordinating implementation of the plan’s civilian components and is positioned as the main hub for post-conflict stabilization efforts.
- Rubio, speaking after a visit to the facility, reaffirmed U.S. commitment to Israel’s security and said Washington seeks a Gaza that poses no risk to Israel.
