Starsand Island to Launch 1.0 on August 18 With Four-Player Multiplayer

Seed Sparkle Lab is moving the game out of Early Access to grow social play, deepen NPC relationships, introduce seasonal live events, and sell boxed copies to reach more players.

  • Seed Sparkle Lab announced on Friday that Starsand Island will leave Early Access and reach full 1.0 release on August 18, 2026.
  • The game will launch digitally on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with physical PS5 and Switch 2 editions shipping November 12 and pre-orders available now.
  • Version 1.0 adds online multiplayer for up to four players and a multiplayer-only currency that can be spent in a dedicated multiplayer shop.
  • Character systems are expanded with new three-heart and five-heart relationship quests for 19 NPCs and extra dating activities for 14 romanceable characters, including picnics, kite flying, and arcade games.
  • A launch seasonal event called the Autumn Pumpkin Carnival brings event storylines, limited quests and activities like catching glowing jellyfish and growing festival pumpkins, a move that supports ongoing live content and broader player engagement.
