‘Stardust Racers’ Reopening Rebalances Crowds at Epic Universe

Heavy demand for the controversial coaster is temporarily easing waits at other headliners.

The dual-track coaster, which reopened Wednesday, March 25 after a February 19–March 25 shutdown, drew waits that climbed past 100 minutes.
As riders flocked to Stardust Racers, waits dropped across the park, with Ministry of Magic averaging about 54 minutes and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge also easing.
Both tracks now run together, boosting ride capacity and moving the Stardust Racers line faster than before.
The coaster’s “Death Coaster” nickname stems from reported injuries and related legal action, which has driven both caution and thrill-seeking interest.
With spring break and Easter set to raise attendance, the current relief at other attractions may be brief at Universal Orlando’s 2025-opened park.
