Starbucks Adds Two Matcha Drinks to Permanent Menu, Rolls Out Valentine’s Day Specials

The launch highlights fruit-forward flavors, with raspberry syrup returning as a permanent option.

  • Starting Feb. 3, customers can order two new year-round matcha beverages alongside two limited-time Valentine’s Day drinks in U.S. stores.
  • Iced Banana Bread Matcha pairs matcha, milk and brown sugar syrup with banana cream cold foam and caramel crunch, while Iced Double Berry Matcha layers strawberry purée and raspberry cream cold foam over iced matcha.
  • The seasonal lineup features White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew with vanilla syrup and chocolate curls, plus a Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino made with crème base, cinnamon dolce syrup and strawberry purée.
  • Raspberry syrup and raspberry-flavored cold foam are now permanent add-ons, and White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Foam can be added to any cold drink for a limited time.
  • A Valentine Cake Pop with vanilla cake dipped in red icing joins the menu, and Starbucks’ beverage developer Sakthi Vijayakumar describes the chain’s matcha as smooth and creamy.
