Star Trek: Warp Announced as Free-to-Play PC and Mac Card Game

Its seven-lane battlefield and automatic 'Warp' draw mechanic aim to create comeback-driven matches and expand Star Trek into competitive digital card play.

Overview

  • Monumental unveiled Star Trek: Warp on May 20–21 and posted a Steam store page so players can add the game to their wishlists now.
  • The game centers on a seven-lane battlefield and a unique Warp mechanic that automatically increases card draws as matches progress to help losing players mount comebacks.
  • Players will collect and deploy hundreds of characters and starships from across 60 years of Star Trek, including Kirk, Spock, Picard, Data, Seven of Nine, McCoy, and Garak.
  • Star Trek: Warp will be free to play with both PvE 'Brawl' matches against AI and real-time ranked PvP with skill-based matchmaking, seasonal progression, and rewards for expanding collections.
  • Monumental, the studio behind Boundless and Mythgard, plans to reveal Early Access timing and more gameplay details during Steam Next Fest from June 15–22, with a full global release slated later in 2026 to mark the franchise’s 60th anniversary.
