Overview
- Fan Week began Sunday, Aug. 23, with Arthur Ashe Kids Day and on-site exhibitions that kick off a run of fan-focused programming at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
- The free qualifying tournament runs Aug. 24–27 and will award the final 16 spots in both the men’s and women’s singles main draws.
- The qualifying draw features notable comeback and veteran names, including Qinwen Zheng, Kei Nishikori (a USTA qualifying wild card), Bianca Andreescu and Grigor Dimitrov, plus rising 16-year-old Americans Jordan Lee, Michael Antonius and Andrew Johnson.
- Broadcasters have published coverage plans across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, with Tennis Channel and ABC also carrying selected windows, and ESPN set to air Roger Federer’s exhibition on Aug. 25 ahead of his Hall of Fame induction.
- Organizers are using a Fan Access Pass and a free public grounds day to manage crowds, but reserved Arthur Ashe sessions remain ticketed so fans are advised to follow USOpen.org for entry procedures and ticket-resale updates.
