Overview
- A police pursuit that began on June 18 ended when the driver ran into a home on the 2100 block of Bunker Lane, barricaded himself and exchanged gunfire with officers.
- St. Peter Officer Austin Buss was struck in the arm and his ballistic vest during the stairwell exchange; he underwent surgeries to save the arm and was escorted home from the hospital by a motorcade.
- The Ramsey County Medical Examiner identified the deceased suspect as 21-year-old Jordan Michael Donahue, who was found inside the home with a gunshot injury; the source of that fatal wound has not been determined.
- The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension named the two officers who fired as Officer Austin Buss and Sgt. Dustin Struckman and placed both on critical incident leave while it reviews body-worn camera footage and other evidence.
