Overview
- FC St. Pauli announced on Tuesday that Alexander Hahn is the new full-time head coach of its U23 Regionalliga side.
- The U23 kept its Regionalliga place after TSV 1860 München lost a 3. Liga licence, a late administrative decision that left roster planning unsettled.
- Hahn brings analytic and coaching experience from Hamburger SV and was Marcel Rapp’s co-trainer at Holstein Kiel from July 2022 to February 2026.
- Interim coach Karsten Neitzel will return to his scouting role as planned, and club directors Carsten Rothenbach and Andreas Bornemann endorsed Hahn’s appointment.
- The current U23 squad is due to meet for its first joint training on Wednesday and the club will use the coming weeks to finalise the team for the Regionalliga season.
