St. Paul Man Identified as City's 13th Homicide After Downtown Assault

Investigators are asking the public to call a tip line to help identify who was responsible for the assault near Dorothy Day Place.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Dorothy Day Place after medics found a man who had been assaulted and struck in the head; he was taken to Regions Hospital and later died of his injuries.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Isaiah J. Wilson, 61, of St. Paul.
The Saint Paul Police Department has classified the death as the city’s 13th homicide this year.
No arrests have been made and police have not released a suspect description, and the investigation remains active.
Police say the assault happened in a busy downtown block and are urging anyone with information to call the tip line at (651) 266-5650 to assist the probe.
