SSGC Announces Special Gas Timetable for Eid ul Adha

The utility says the short-term plan expands daytime supply for cooking and schedules targeted night suspensions to keep system pressure stable.

Overview

  • SSGC issued the holiday schedule on Monday and said it will temporarily suspend supply on Chaand Raat from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM to carry out system adjustments and pressure balancing.
  • The company will provide uninterrupted gas from 7:30 AM until midnight on the first two days of Eid to help households and businesses with cooking and sacrificial preparations.
  • On the third day of the holiday, SSGC will cut supply earlier, making gas available only until 10:00 PM.
  • SSGC has a special Friday arrangement with no daytime load-shedding but a nightly suspension from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and it warned consumers to use gas judiciously during the break in regular load-management.
  • The schedule is temporary and will revert to the normal routine from May 30, a move that follows the federal holiday declaration for May 26–28 and reflects wider seasonal pressure on Pakistan’s gas network noted by other regional utilities.
