Srinagar Hits 21°C, Setting All-Time February Record as Kashmir’s Warm Spell Deepens

Meteorologists expect the dry pattern to persist through month-end with temperatures likely to climb further.

  • The Meteorological Department confirmed Srinagar reached 21.0°C on Saturday, about 10°C above normal and the highest February maximum on record for the city.
  • Gulmarg logged 11.5°C, surpassing its previous February mark from 1993, while stations including Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kupwara and Kokernag ran roughly 9–10°C above average.
  • Officials reported daytime anomalies across the Valley of about 9–11°C, with Ladakh locations also running unusually warm for late winter.
