- Square Enix unveiled Final Fantasy VII: Revelation Friday at Summer Game Fest as the third and final entry in its remake trilogy, pairing a trailer with an extended gameplay presentation.
- The company confirmed a simultaneous Spring 2027 launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, ending the timed console exclusivity used for earlier installments.
