Spotify’s Hometown Series Brings Jorja Smith, Nemzzz and Beabadoobee Back to Their Home Cities

The invite-only shows will reward top listeners, generate exclusive concert films on Spotify, and channel support to local youth organisations.

Overview

  • Spotify announced the three-part Hometown run on Tuesday, confirming Jorja Smith in Walsall on Sept. 6, Nemzzz in Manchester on Sept. 12, and Beabadoobee in London on Sept. 17.
  • Attendance will be restricted to selected top listeners with no public ticket sale planned and the performances will be released as exclusive concert films on Spotify in the weeks after each show.
  • The dates are timed to promote each artist’s new album campaigns: Jorja Smith’s What Are The Odds (Aug. 21), Nemzzz’s Locked In (Sept. 4), and Beabadoobee’s Pylon (Sept. 18).
  • Spotify said it will partner with the artists on community-led initiatives and donations to local youth organisations, with Beabadoobee specifically supporting The Avenues youth project in west London.
  • The Hometown series extends Spotify’s recent push for intimate, place-based live projects to deepen fan engagement and create in-platform content, and observers will be watching for announced venues and the exact fan-selection process.
