Overview
- Spain recorded 49,156 women victims and 53,268 complaints in July–September 2025, keeping the national rate broadly stable at 19.8 per 10,000 women.
- Castilla y León registered 1,864 complaints and 1,715 victims, up 20.6% and 24.6% year over year, while still posting one of the lowest victim rates.
- Madrid logged 8,892 complaints (+10.1%), a rate of 21.5 victims per 10,000, 1,561 protection-order requests with 55% denied, and 926 victim waivers of testimony (+31%).
- Galicia remained lowest in Spain with 12.9 victims per 10,000, recorded slight declines in complaints and victims, and reported conviction rates near 90% for cases reaching judgment.
- Nationally, courts received 12,844 protection-order requests (slightly fewer than a year ago), while local data show 239 complaints in Pontevedra through Q3 and 363 abuse cases processed in Vigo over the summer.
