Overview
- The Ministry of Industry and Tourism issued a partial provisional resolution awarding €27.3 million in the batteries line of PERTE VEC IV, announced by Minister Jordi Hereu at the Foro AVANZA–Empresa Familiar.
- Provisional beneficiaries and amounts are Cummins New Power (€10.8 million), Basquevolt (€6.1 million), Micro Electrochemical Technologies (€4.8 million), Resonac Graphite Spain (€2.7 million), Gestamp Palencia (€1.66 million) and BorgWarner Emissions Systems Spain (€1.01 million).
- The published resolutions detail projects and eligible budgets, including BorgWarner’s new production lines in Vigo for battery thermal management components with a €6.78 million eligible budget supported by a €1.01 million grant.
- Resonac in A Coruña secured €2.7 million to advance a large-scale sustainable graphite plant for battery anodes, with an eligible investment of €18.2 million.
- Several applications were denied, notably InoBat Iberia in Valladolid for failing to reach the minimum score threshold, and all awards remain provisional pending final approval.
