Overview
- The Boletín Oficial del Estado published a Ministry resolution on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, that formally assigns €1,400,000 to Galicia to repair municipal infrastructure and provincial roads damaged during the 23 June–25 August 2025 emergency period.
- Ourense will receive the largest share, about €1,312,686.29, funding 28 separate interventions in rural municipalities such as A Veiga, Cualedro and Verín.
- A Coruña is set to receive €43,312.65 for a work in Ponteceso and Pontevedra will get €106,254.30 for projects in A Cañiza and Vilaboa, with the state package totaling €3,745,154.38 for Spain.
- The aid is reimbursement-style co‑financing that covers half the eligible costs, so local authorities must complete project documentation and supply the remaining funds before payments are made.
- Pedro Blanco, the Spanish government delegate in Galicia, said Delegation and Subdelegation offices validated applications and that these grants join other measures that bring Galicia’s fire-related recovery investment to nearly €23 million, which should speed repair of public services and local roads.
