SpaceX Targets Saturday Vandenberg Launch to Add 24 Starlink Satellites to Orbit

The mission advances the constellation with a veteran Falcon 9 making its 22nd flight before a planned landing on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship.

Overview

  • Liftoff is targeted for Saturday, Feb. 14, within a 2–6 p.m. PT window from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base, with an FAA-listed backup opportunity the next day.
  • SpaceX plans to deploy 24 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit on this flight.
  • A live webcast is scheduled to begin about five minutes before liftoff on X at @SpaceX and on the X TV app.
  • The first stage will fly its 22nd mission and then attempt a landing on the Pacific-based droneship Of Course I Still Love You after stage separation.
  • Vandenberg and SpaceX advise that nearby counties could hear a rumble or sonic booms depending on conditions, and on-base public viewing is not offered though many coastal sites provide clear views when weather allows.
