- Spirit Airlines, which ceased operations on May 2nd, erased a large share of low-cost Orlando flights and set off a rapid push by rivals to restore capacity.
- Southwest announced its largest-ever Orlando schedule with three new nonstop routes and higher frequency on 17 existing routes beginning this summer.
- The airline also outlined plans for more than 200 daily Orlando departures in 2027 and listed future routes to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Jose, and several U.S. cities.
