- An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 8 p.m. Friday for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
- Los Angeles has opened hundreds of sites for heat relief, including libraries and recreation centers, according to Mayor Karen Bass.
- Four Los Angeles locations will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and accept pets: Canoga Park Senior Citizen’s Center, North Hollywood Senior Citizen Center, Pecan Recreation Center and Algin Sutton Recreation Center.

- Counties across the region have activated cooling options, including county directories in Orange and Riverside, designated “Cool Places” in San Bernardino and selected Ventura County library branches during regular hours.
