Overview
- Trains were running again by the early hours after a large blaze on tracks between Queen's Road Peckham and South Bermondsey.
- Three fire engines and about 15 firefighters tackled the fire, and no injuries were reported.
- Queen's Road Peckham was evacuated and power on the line was isolated to give crews safe access.
- Control received the first of around 90 calls at 8:49pm, with witnesses reporting bright flashes visible across several areas.
- All lines between Tulse Hill and London Bridge were initially blocked, with delays, cancellations and alternative routes advised.
