- SCR unveiled the pilot on Wednesday at a Rail Parcel Logistics conclave held at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad.
- The app is live in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru and Chennai during the pilot phase.
- Customers get door-to-door pickup and delivery through trains with real-time tracking, automated push notifications and digital payments.
- An MoU with IIM Bangalore’s SCMC tasks the institute with demand forecasting, modal competitiveness analysis, industry consultations, field surveys and infrastructure gap assessments.
- The study will produce a strategic roadmap aligned with Mission 3,000 million tonnes by 2030, and SCR said its zone is the first to implement the app, described as a first-of-its-kind platform.
