- Sotheby’s announced Thursday that it has consigned the black silk Christina Stambolian dress and set the auction for 9 December 2026 with an estimate of $150,000–$300,000.
- The dress will be exhibited in London (18–24 September), Hong Kong (1–15 October), Geneva (6–11 November) and New York (2–8 December) before the sale at Sotheby’s Breuer Building.
- Princess Diana wore the dress on 29 June 1994 to a Vanity Fair/Serpentine Gallery gala the same night Prince Charles’s ITV interview admitting infidelity aired, a moment widely dubbed the 'revenge dress'.
- The garment was bought from Diana’s 1997 Christie’s charity sale by Briege and Grahame Mackenzie and is being consigned now by Mackenzie, who said she chose to sell after her husband’s death.
