Overview
- Sony announced Gitaroo Man (June 16, 2026), Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (July 28, 2026) and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (August 25, 2026) during its June 2026 State of Play.
- Each title will join the PlayStation Classics library for PS Plus Premium subscribers and will also be offered as a standalone purchase on PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Store.
- The three releases continue a roughly monthly cadence of retro additions that followed Wild Arms 4 in April 2026 and Time Crisis in May 2026.
- All announced games are original PS2 releases from the 2001–2006 era and span distinct genres, from rhythm action (Gitaroo Man) to telekinetic third-person shooting (Psi-Ops) to action-adventure (Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams).
- For players this means easier access to older titles through subscription or purchase and raises expectations that Sony may add modern conveniences such as trophies or gyro aim when it ports more legacy games.
