- Sony announced the ULT Tower Max, ULT Tower 7, and ULT Tower 5 Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and published MSRPs of about $1,499 for the Max, $649 for the 7, and $449 for the 5 with shipments planned in September.
- The Tower Max is a mains‑tethered flagship that weighs 121 pounds, uses three 280mm woofers plus midrange drivers and four tweeters, and features up to 100 LEDs for reactive light shows.
- The Tower 7 and Tower 5 are battery-powered and more portable at about 50 pounds and 29 pounds respectively, with Sony claiming up to roughly 30 hours on the 7 and 20 hours on the 5 when lights are off.
