Overview
- The song "Late el Sur" was publicly presented in late July 2026 and is credited to Soledad Pastorutti with co-writers Marcela Morelo and Claudia Brant and producer Rodolfo Lugo.
- Organizers say the track will be used across the XIII Juegos Suramericanos Santa Fe 2026, including the countdown, opening and closing ceremonies and each day of competition from 12 to 26 September.
- Pastorutti described the project as born from an informal composing session with Morelo and Brant, and she invited them to collaborate after receiving the offer to write the Games’ anthem.
- The lyrics and title were conceived to emphasize Santa Fe and southern South American identity, with a chorus designed to be sung by athletes, volunteers and spectators and a key line that reads, “Esta tierra te vuelve invencible.”
- Organizers and local press frame the song as both a promotional asset and a unifying soundtrack for more than 4,000 athletes from 15 countries, and the track is already available on streaming platforms ahead of the Games.
