São Paulo Begins Installing Free-Flow Toll Gantries on Anchieta–Imigrantes for July Launch

Drivers without tags must use the Siga Fácil portal to pay by plate within 30 days or face fines.

Overview

  • Installation starts on February 7 on Via Anchieta, with additional work on Rodovia dos Imigrantes on February 17 and 24, bringing temporary lane restrictions and plaza demolition.
  • Charging is slated to begin on July 1 with the current R$38.70 passenger toll split into R$19.35 per direction for ascent and descent.
  • Non‑tagged vehicles will be billed by license plate and can pay on Siga Fácil or concessionaire sites using credit card, debit or Pix.
  • Failure to pay within 30 days triggers a R$195.23 fine and five points on the driver’s license under state rules.
  • Artesp reports 37 free‑flow gantries installed by end‑2025 toward a goal of 58 by 2030, each structure costs about R$20 million, existing plazas will support fog convoy operations and officials cite benefits such as fewer jams, crashes and emissions.
