Overview
- Users can set one-time or recurring Arrival Notifications that automatically alert chosen friends when they reach named locations beyond home.
- Location sharing on Snap Map remains off by default, and alerts only go to friends the user has explicitly selected to share location with.
- One-time alerts expire after they are sent or after 24 hours, providing time-limited sharing by design.
- Setup happens from a friendship profile, where users pick a place on the map, name it, and choose between a single-use or repeating alert.
- The feature expands the earlier Home Safe tool, which Snap says has surpassed 1 million users, and builds on a Snap Map used by more than 400 million people monthly.
