Overview
- Authorities located the wreckage in a wooded area near Center Street in Ludlow after an overnight search by Massachusetts State Police, Ludlow police, and other responders.
- The Hampden District Attorney's office confirmed two people were found dead at the scene and said no other injuries were reported.
- The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were notified and are responding to join the state and local investigation.
- Alpha-One Flight Services was identified as the operator linked to the aircraft and Hyldburg Aviation said Alpha-One is assisting investigators and that this is the company’s first injury accident in 38 years.
- Investigators have not released victims' names, the plane's origin or destination, or any preliminary cause and officials say further on-scene work and federal analysis are expected before findings are released.
