Overview
- Skyroot Aerospace’s four-stage Vikram-1 completed its maiden orbital mission on Saturday, July 18, 2026, inserting multiple technology-demonstration and symbolic payloads into roughly 450 km, 60° inclination low Earth orbit.
- The vehicle, built with a largely carbon-composite structure and driven by in-house solid stages plus a 3D-printed restartable liquid upper engine, met key milestones for propulsion, guidance, stage separation and telemetry on its first flight.
