Skoda Kodiaq RS Headed to India, Bookings Start June 22

The seven-seat RS will arrive as a limited completely built run that gauges demand for a premium performance flagship.

Overview

  • Skoda Auto India announced bookings will open on June 22, 2026, and confirmed an initial allocation of 50 completely built units for the country.
  • The Kodiaq RS is fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI engine rated at about 265 hp and 400 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard all-wheel drive; international figures show a 0–100 km/h time of roughly 6.3–6.4 seconds and a top speed near 231 km/h.
  • The RS package adds distinct visual and hardware upgrades including RS-specific bumpers, gloss-black trim, 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers, and upgraded braking hardware with slotted discs and two-piston front calipers.
  • Official India equipment lists and pricing are not yet released but industry estimates place ex-showroom pricing around Rs 50–55 lakh; CBU import taxes and tight global allocations explain the expected premium and limited supply.
  • Skoda is bringing the current-generation RS now to serve enthusiasts and test demand for more units, a choice informed by RS heritage and the Octavia RS sell-out and set against a likely Kodiaq facelift around 2027.
