Overview
- Skims officially launched its first European standalone store at 245–247 Regent Street when Kim Kardashian hosted a London Fashion Week opening on Sept. 18.
- The two-floor, 12,000-square-foot flagship was designed by Rafael de Cárdenas and features a Vanessa Beecroft sculpture plus the full Skims assortment across apparel, intimates and NikeSkims.
- The launch was staged as an experiential event with music, branded food and a star-studded guest list that included musicians, models and designers to drive in-person discovery.
- Kardashian wore a custom Ludovic de Saint Sernin gown for the opening and the brand will release a limited Skims x Ludovic de Saint Sernin capsule that is set to arrive on Oct. 1, as reported.
- The Regent Street opening follows a $225 million capital raise and product investments such as hiring chief design officer Erin Magee, and it is meant to convert online shoppers to repeat customers as Skims scales to 100-plus stores by 2027.
