Overview
- Just before 9 a.m. Saturday, emergency crews responded to a crash at mile marker 62 on Route 6 and found six vehicles involved and 18 people needing help.
- The wreck included two vans and two SUVs, and firefighters had to extricate one person from a vehicle at the scene.
- Four people were transported to Cape Cod Hospital for further treatment while the remaining 14 were evaluated and did not require hospital transport.
- Sandwich units requested mutual-aid ambulances from West Barnstable and Bourne and performed on-scene triage to prioritize care.
