Six Killed in Sindh Highway Crash as Police Hunt Unregistered Pickup in Separate Hyderabad Hit-and-Run

The victims in the highway collision were labourers headed to Karachi for work.

  • A car rammed a truck on the National Highway in Noushehro Feroze, killing five labourers from a family — Ghulam Muhammad, Suhrab, Abdul Hakeem, Nadeem Ali and Raheem Solangi — along with car driver Manzoor Brohi.
  • The deceased were residents of Lalu Raink in Larkana district and their bodies, along with the injured truck driver Asad Ali Sabzdoi, were taken to the taluka hospital.
  • Police said responsibility for the car–truck crash has not been determined and no case had been registered by evening.
  • The fatal collision came a day after an 11-death truck–bus crash in Khairpur on the same highway.
  • In Hyderabad, Cant police registered an FIR over a pre-dawn hit-and-run that killed pizza shop workers Aleem Samejo, Nazeer Mangrio and Akhtar Syed, and they are using CCTV to trace a white double-cabin pickup without plates that has not been found.
