Six Injured as Neighbour Allegedly Sets Pet Dog on Family in Delhi Parking Dispute

Police have filed an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with raids under way to arrest the absconding suspect.

  • The clash erupted around 11:30 pm Monday in Subhash Park, Shahdara, after an argument over motorcycle parking between accused Shalu and neighbour Ketan, 32.
  • Police and witnesses say the assailants used iron rods, sticks and stones, and a pet Labrador was allegedly unleashed on residents, causing multiple bite injuries.
  • All six injured were taken to GTB and JPC Hospitals; five were discharged after treatment and one person remains under observation, officials said.
  • The FIR at Welcome police station cites BNS sections 115, 118, 291 and 351, covering voluntarily causing hurt, dangerous means, negligent conduct with respect to an animal and criminal intimidation.
  • Shalu fled with two unidentified associates and remains at large, and DCP Ashish Mishra said multiple teams are conducting raids to locate the accused.
