Six Flags Finishes Record Immelmann on 'Giga' Dive Coaster, Releases Drone POV

The partial on-ride video previews Tormenta Rampaging Run during ongoing construction for a planned 2026 anniversary opening.

Overview

  • Amusement Today reports the 218-foot Immelmann inversion was completed last night on the Bolliger & Mabillard-built ride in Arlington, Texas.
  • Six Flags published a drone-filmed, partial POV since some track is still missing and trains cannot yet run.
  • The park says the coaster will climb 309 feet before a 285-foot, 95-degree drop directly into the Immelmann at up to 87 mph.
  • Six Flags and industry outlets describe it as the first 300-plus-foot “giga” dive coaster and the longest of the model at 4,199 feet, with a 179-foot vertical loop.
  • The company plans to debut the record-claiming attraction during Six Flags Over Texas’ 65th anniversary season in 2026.
