Overview
- Guardia Civil and Policía Nacional detained six suspects under Operación Taglio, dismantling a group accused of blowing open cash machines.
- Two of the detainees are linked to seven additional robberies across Burgos, Guadalajara, Valladolid, Albacete, Toledo and Cuenca.
- The case began after two ATMs were blasted on the same night in June 2024 in Granada province, where more than €140,000 was taken.
- Arrests were carried out simultaneously in Madrid and Valencia, where the suspects lived and from where they traveled to commit the heists.
- Searches recovered a firearm, €1,700 in cash, 1.9 kilograms of hashish and professional extrication pliers allegedly used after the detonations.
