Overview
- Organisers The Kallang Group and Dentsu Sports International announced on Thursday, Sept 3, 2026 that the Mizuho Blue Challenge will stage four matches at the National Stadium from Nov 13 to Nov 17 with Singapore v Paraguay, Japan v Brazil and a Nov 17 double‑header of Singapore v Brazil followed by Japan v Paraguay.
- Tickets go on sale from 12pm on Sept 4 with prices starting around S$28 for Singapore v Paraguay and from S$98 for the Japan v Brazil fixture and the Nov 17 double‑header, with the latter available on a single ticket.
- Singapore coach Gavin Lee and Japan coach Hajime Moriyasu said the matches offer vital match practice ahead of the AFC Asian Cup, with the fixtures placed in the official FIFA international window to ensure availability of full national squads.
- The tournament is backed by Mizuho Financial Group and forms part of Singapore–Japan 60th Anniversary events while supporting The Kallang Group’s strategy to build signature sporting properties for the venue.
- The matchups boost the showcase’s draw because Brazil, Japan and Paraguay sit high in the FIFA rankings and the series recalls a 2014 Brazil‑Japan friendly in Singapore that attracted a large crowd, giving local fans a rare chance to see top international sides in person.
