Overview
- Singapore Airlines opened sales Wednesday for daily nonstop flights between Changi and Western Sydney that begin on November 23, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
- The route will use Airbus A350-900 jets with 303 seats and a schedule that leaves Western Sydney at 11:55pm and reaches Singapore around 5:05am, with the Singapore departure at 11:30am arriving at 10:20pm.
- Western Sydney International operates 24 hours, allowing late-night “red-eye” departures that Sydney’s Kingsford Smith bans under its 11pm to 6am curfew.
- The added service will lift Singapore Airlines to five daily flights into the Sydney area, expanding capacity on one of Australia’s busiest international corridors.
- The airport plans to start freight flights in July and be passenger-ready by October, and Qantas, Jetstar and Air New Zealand have signalled operations as the new hub ramps up.
