Silver Room Block Party Returns July 18 With Scaled-Back Salt Shed Edition
A smaller, ticketed format at a venue with built-in infrastructure aims to keep the showcase viable after years of rising costs.
Overview
- The founder, Eric Williams, announced Friday that the one-day party will run noon to 10 p.m. on July 18 at the Salt Shed in West Town.
- General admission tickets cost $95 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 17, with VIP options available and total capacity of about 6,000 people.
- The program will feature about 40 performers across house, Afrobeats and hip-hop, with local vendors, fashion shows and activities familiar to past attendees.
- Williams shifted to the Salt Shed to avoid building costly beach infrastructure after production expenses swelled to roughly $1 million and attendance fell in 2022–2023.
- The 2026 theme, “In Pursuit of ____,” ties into America’s 250th anniversary, and Williams says he expects strong demand but will decide on future editions one step at a time.
