Overview
- A large fight at a wedding reception in the Athena Hall parking lot escalated into gunfire on Saturday night, Aug. 8, after witnesses reported at least two handguns were shown.
- Officers found three people who had been shot and took them to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries; police say all are expected to recover.
- Responding officers also stopped a fleeing vehicle and discovered a woman shot in the chest, and a separate person was struck by a leaving car and suffered what appeared to be a broken hip.
- Detectives from the Roseville Police Criminal Investigations Division have opened an active investigation but say victims and witnesses have been reluctant to cooperate and are asking the public to call 586-447-4483 with information.
