Overview
- Airbus disclosed that Shohin is the buyer of two A320neo and two A321neo aircraft in its Farnborough order book listing.
- Airbus said the A320neo will be configured for up to 176 passengers and the A321neo for 196 passengers in a dual-class layout.
- Shohin’s CEO Zafar Ahmadzoda described the jets as the backbone of a modern, efficient and lower-emission fleet in the carrier’s announcement.
- The order advances Shohin’s plan to launch scheduled services from Dushanbe but delivery dates, regulatory certification, crew training and route approvals have not been announced.
- If realized, the startup will join Tajik Air and Somon Air on international routes and the next milestones to watch are aircraft delivery timing, civil aviation clearance and traffic-rights agreements.
