Shape of Dreams Launches on Consoles With ‘Starless Path’ Anniversary Update

Console players get a matured version of the roguelite with a new ending and Traveler plus a year of balance and performance work as the game arrives on Game Pass.

Overview

  • Shape of Dreams, which reached PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and Microsoft Store PC on Thursday, September 17, 2026, is available day-one on Xbox Game Pass.
  • The Starless Path update adds a new Traveler named Cetus, a new final boss and a new ending, and introduces individual storylines for all nine Travelers alongside new costumes, mementos and Memories.
  • The game supports cross-play and up to four-player online co-op, and its runs are designed around more than 200 Memories and Essences that create highly variable builds and team synergies.
  • Console releases include a year’s worth of live-service improvements carried over from the PC build, including the Limbo endgame difficulty, a critical-strike overhaul, new shrine systems, balance passes and performance fixes.
  • NEOWIZ and Lizard Smoothie launched the ports with a temporary discount and platform bonuses such as the Crimson Flash Lacerta costume on Xbox as part of a broader push to expand the game after strong community demand.
