Shakira Expands Madrid Residency to 11 Shows After Ticket Surge

The run centers on a purpose-built stadium with a festival zone that turns the site into a day-long cultural hub.

Overview

  • Organizers added October 10–11 on Friday after selling more than 450,000 tickets in hours, with new seats released at 14:00 on LiveNation, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés.
  • The concerts will take place in a temporary Estadio Shakira at Madrid’s Iberdrola Music site, holding about 50,000 people per night and designed by Bjarke Ingels Group with a wraparound screen and pyrotechnics.
  • An attached Macondo Park of roughly 15 hectares will run from midday to midnight on show days, blending live music, art, film, fashion and food to extend the experience beyond the stage.
  • The ES LATINA program will add a second stage for new talent and enlist local restaurants, clubs and galleries, with collaborators set to be announced through summer and a full agenda due by late July.
  • A compressed 69‑day build window after July 18 to erect the venue in Villaverde highlights the project’s scale and a total expected turnout near 550,000 across the 11 nights.
