Overview
- Officers responded after gunfire on the 1400 block of East Fayette Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday and found seven people shot, including a young child who was placed in a patrol car and rushed to hospital for surgery.
- Police say the six other victims were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries and all are expected to survive.
- No arrests have been made and detectives are reviewing video footage, collecting evidence, and maintaining a police presence near the scene as the probe continues.

- Fayette and Caroline streets were closed during the on-scene investigation and a reward of up to $7,000 has been offered for tips that could help identify those responsible.
